Dart-Tube

"Dart-Tube" is the name of our YouTube channel for our publication. Above is a video I made in part of a staff-wide series around Christmas time to show how we were spending our winter breaks. This year, I required all staff members to edit and produce videos via Adobe Premiere Pro and gain skills through that platform, rather than iMovie which has been used in years past.

Another aspect of broadcast and multimedia I brought back was "Dart in the Quad." An example of this is seen on the bottom right, shot and edited by my multimedia editor Grace Ashley. The original concept was lost over the years, but I believed that it would enhance our student engagement, therefore I ensure it is on the assignment list every cycle.

Finally, the bottom left video is a fun passion project for the Halloween season, shot and edited by me, outlined by my Instagram Editor Ali Madden.

Presidential Team

The Presidential Team is an idea that I had last year to focus on the politics revolving the national Presidential election. An event that occurs once every four years deserves it's own form of coverage, which is why I created the team. During various political events -- such as counting ballots or the Georgia runoffs -- representatives from the team will host Instagram lives to describe the events and inform the viewers about their greater political impact. We do other forms of coverage, such as videos and news briefs (see "What Happened on Jan. 6" in the "Writing & Reporting" section), but the usage of Instagram is new this year to the publication.

Right is a screenshot from the conclusion of one of these live streams. Below is a video posted on Instagram introducing the Presidential Team.

"THE CASHEW PROJECT"

"The Cashew Project" is a co-founded, self-run podcast recorded with a friend of mine - Josie Fox - and edited by me through Adobe Audition. Episodes are on a quarterly basis and revolve around political discussions through our respective faith lenses - Catholic and Jewish.
